Congratulations to our 2025-2026 AHEC Scholars Cohort!

SFCCC would like to congratulate our 14 San Francisco AHEC Scholars for completing their 2025-2026 Program Year requirements! Of those 14 completing Scholars, 6 have #graduated and 8 will return to complete their second year with the Program!

To successfully complete the Program, all AHEC Scholars must complete 9 didactic online modules covering an array of community health topics; volunteer, shadow, or otherwise train for 40-80 hours with community-based and/or clinical organizations; and design and complete a Community Project. Scholars complete this in addition to their full course loads, part-time or full-time jobs, and more.

To those of you who graduated, we are proud of you for completing the AHEC Scholars Program in addition to finishing and graduating from your degrees, graduate and certification programs! We know that you will continue to do great things as you move on in your academic and professional careers!

To those of you returning to the Program for Year 2, you return to school with more knowledge on what community health looks like, and you will continue to learn about important concepts that will help you improve the lives of those you will eventually serve. We’re looking forward to another year with you!
