AmeriCorps Works! Community HealthCorps Building Healthy Futures

March 10-18th 2012 is National AmeriCorps Week and Community HealthCorps program sites across the country are taking part in AmeriCorps Week events.  This year’s theme, “AmeriCorps Works!” demonstrates the impact of national service in communities across the country.  To celebrate, our SFCCC San Francisco Community HealthCorps members will be participating in various activities throughout the week, including recruitment activities and spreading the word about our programs at various universities in the Bay Area;  volunteering with the Community HealthCorps program across the Bay in Berkeley at Lifelong Medical Care to help build a community garden in Oakland; and speaking and presenting at a Press Conference featuring the National Director of Community HealthCorps, Jason Patnosh, where we will be demonstrating how AmeriCorps has made an impact in our local communities and how it has helped individuals attain employment in health centers post-service.  Special guests include Jason Patnosh, Community HealthCorps’ National Director, local alumni and current Community HealthCorps members, as well as community members.

Please join us for these events!
