Dick Hodgson, SFCCC Vice President of Policy & Planning, Leading Health Care Advocate Passes Unexpectedly

On February 8, 2012, the passing of Dick Hodgson has left us with heavy hearts. We here at SFCCC miss him. He was our colleague and friend.
In his position of Vice President of Policy and Planning he represented SFCCC in strategic forums where health policy decisions were made that affected our SFCCC partner clinics and the patients they serve.  Dick, in essence, was the voice of the patients ensuring that their point of view and their needs were stated and included in health policy deliberations. His work was known and respected on the national level through SFCCC participation with the activities of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and on the state level as a Board member of the California Primary Care Association (CPCA). Representing SFCCC locally, Dick was a leader with the Primary Care Council, the Human Services Network, the Building a Healthier San Francisco, and the African American Health Disparity Project.
We truly appreciate the condolences we have received from the many colleagues and friends who knew and worked with Dick.

The Family will be holding a Memorial Service in April.  Notice of Memorial Contributions will be available soon.
