a basic, but vital supply in improving the health and hygiene of our homeless patients - they
continue to be the most sought-after clothing item we hand out on the SOS van. For those who are homeless and spend much of their time
outside, exposure to the elements is a very real threat. Shoes and socks that
are wet and soiled, going unchanged for days or weeks at a time, may result in
serious infections or complicate existing medical conditions such as bacterial and/or
fungal infections, blisters, and in cold weather, frostbite. Your donation of new white socks will assist
us in combating these avoidable health risks and will provide warmth and
comfort to those we serve.
consider donating a pair of clean, new, or lightly used men and women sock for those in need during this winter season. Donations can be dropped off at our office located at 1550 Bryant St., Suite #450. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated! Happy Holidays!
