Glide Health Services and UCSF School of Nursing bring SF EMPOWER to the Tenderloin

The SF Chronicle recently highlighted a new collaborative program between Glide HealthServices and UCSF’s School of Nursing, SF EMPOWER.  Two graduate nursing students at UCSF were awarded an Albert SchweitzerFellowship to create a program that helps people with mental illness manage pre-diabetes or diabetes.  Through group education sessions and one-on-one outreach SF EMPOWER gives clients the information they need to properly manage diabetes and prevent complications.
