SFCCC Graduates our 16th Class of AmeriCorps Members!

At an AmeriCorps member recognition ceremony at the end of June, SFCCC honored and celebrated its 16th class of AmeriCorps members’ successful completion of a year of service with the San Francisco Community HealthCorps! We were joined by community members, family, friends, clinic administrators and providers, clinic executives and directors, and had the largest number of guests ever to congratulate and recognize our members for all of their hard work! This year we had 23 amazing members at 15 different community sites, who tirelessly devoted themselves to the underserved populations of San Francisco and increased access to quality health services for thousands of individuals who need it the most. At the ceremony, there were laughs and tears, smiles and cheering, and lots of hugs and excitement as we graduated our members and look forward to seeing them continue to make a difference as they move on, motivated to pursue careers in community health. Each and every one of our members have been an inspiration to us and the communities they serve, and we hope that this year was as much of an inspiration to them as they were to us and the people whose lives they changed, and that they continue their lives in service to underserved communities.
