House Republicans Propose Drastic Reductions in Health Coverage

Yesterday, the non partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released an analysis of the American Health Care Act, pieces of which have already passed out of two committees in the House of Representatives, but which has not been voted on by the full House or Senate.  According to the CBO analysis, if this plan was implemented, 14 million people nationally would lose their health coverage in 2018, increasing to 24 million in 2026.  This bill would be a major setback to our progress towards coverage for all, and SFCCC has and will continue to communicate our strong objections to the bill to our elected representatives.
