Mission Neighborhood Health Center, one of SFCCC’s partner clinics, has teamed up with the University of San Francisco School of Nursing and Health Professions to promote the well-being of unaccompanied children who have recently arrived in the Bay Area. The project’s clients, as young as seven years old, are experiencing trauma after leaving their home countries and coming to the US without their parents. Services include assessment/evaluation, psychotherapy, linkages and referrals, supportive counseling, and consultation to physicians, attorneys, and other service providers.
