On Monday, November 17, 2014 seven doctors and other professionals from Hungary met with SFCCC President/CEO John Gressman. Selected by the U.S. Department of State to discuss health care delivery systems in the United Stated, Mr. Gressman overviewed how San Francisco’s 11 nonprofit community health clinics have come together to improve the health and well-being of all San Franciscans.
Discussions included the role SFCCC plays in educating physicians, the SFCCC Mobile Medical Van and the strategies SFCCC has used to create a seamless system of care. Faculty from University of Pecs, Hungary discussed strategies in working with immigrants. The delegation was impressed by the health center model and the national model offered by SFCCC to the City, California and the Country of the power of local partnership in improving health.
