Consumers Union has produced a series of new resources to help Californians understand how to shop for and use their health insurance. The new materials include the following fact sheets, all available in Spanish:
· Understanding co-payments and co-insurance
· What are metal tiers?
· "Is My Doctor in the Network?"
· How to Report your Income
Consumer's Union also has fact sheets available to help people with premium tax credits understand how to file their taxes and what tax reconciliation might meant for them (also available in Spanish). And Consumer Reports has released a set of visually appealing, printable “explainers” for assisters providing in-person help.
You can find the fact sheets and other useful health insurance materials on a new page of the Consumer's Union website, here.
