Lyon-Martin is a non-profit community clinic in San Francisco that provides primary care and mental health services in an integrated model to 2,500 patients annually.  We have a diverse patient population and a fun and friendly work environment.  Our caring and committed staff works as a team to fulfill our mission so that all of our patients have access to comprehensive, quality health care.  We are looking for a dynamic RN to join our team.  The ideal candidate understands that offering patients a professional setting where they are treated with dignity, respect and compassion isn’t just lip service; it is the way and reason that we run our organization.

Position Summary

The registered nurse provides direct RN-level clinical care on a full-time basis.  The nurse will function within the full scope of RN licensure, according to the CA Nursing Practice Act and will provide and assist in assessment, triage, development, and implementation of the patient care plan.  S/he will be responsible for the RN level tasks in the delivery of the primary care provider plan for patients.  S/he is expected to maintain a high degree of professional competence and the highest possible ethical standards, and to function as part of a care-giving team.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, ~40 hours per week (full-time); some evening hours required.

Education and Skills:

• Current California State RN License
• Commitment to the mission of Lyon-Martin and to community-based primary care
• Significant experience (2 year minimum) as a registered nurse.
• Ability to produce accurate and precise work, detect and resolve discrepancies all while meeting deadlines
• Ability to work effectively independently and as a part of a team
• Flexibility and comfort in anticipating and managing change in a small, fast-paced non-profit clinic
• Phone triage experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish language ability strongly preferred
