SFCCC is a member of the steering committee of the San Francisco Health Improvement Project (SFHIP), the group tasked with implementing the City's Community Health Improvement Plan. The three priorities for SFHIP are:
- Ensure Safe + Healthy Living Environments
- Increase Healthy Eating + Physical Activity
- Increase Access to Quality Health Care + Services
On the website, http://www.sfhip.org, you can look at many indicators that impact these health outcomes, ranging from "Adults Who Speak A Language Other than English Who Have Difficulty Understanding Their Doctor" to "7th Grade Students who are Physically Fit." Most importantly, you can look in the pull down menu to sort by District, Age, Gender, Neighborhood, or Race/Ethnicity. This valuable tool can help identify and track health disparities.
