SFCCC hires new Continuous Quality Improvement Program Manager


We are proud to announce the hire of John Hunsaker, MPP, MBA, as the new Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program Manager. Building on the foundational work done by his predecessor, Amy Petersen, MBA, John will be working a multitude of QI initiatives, including: the annual quality audits for SFCCC’s Federal Healthcare for the Homeless and Ryan White Part C grants; our annual HCH Patient Experience Surveys; SFCCC’s Kaiser sponsored Preventing Heart Attacks and Strokes Everyday! (PHASE)  program; and biggest of all, our network’s drive towards being Patient Centered Health Homes.



John has extensive experience at the national and local level with public health and improving the outcomes of care delivered at the individual and community level. Before coming to the SFCCC, John managed immunization programs at America's Health Insurance Plans, the national trade association of health insurance plans. In addition he has conducted qualitative and quantitative research with the National Committee forResponsive Philanthropy and the Urban Institute. At the local level, John worked at the Washington AIDS Partnership supporting community organizations that deliver critical health care to people living with HIV / AIDS. John recently received a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management in Waltham, MA, where his capstone project was working with St. Anthony Foundation Medical Clinic staff to develop their service vision and strategic vision. In addition he has a Masters in Public Policy (MPP) from American University's School ofPublic Affairs in Washington, DC, and a BA in History and Political Science from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC.



John will start on October 17 and we are excited to have him join our team!
