Addressing the Health Care Needs of the City

SFCCC CEO John Gressman has joined 41 other community leaders in an effort led by the Department of Public Health to strategically address the health care needs of the City. As a result of legislation approved by the Board of Supervisors and signed by the Mayor, SF Department of Public Health is working to create a City Master Plan that will improve access to care through health care planning. The Committee will hear public testimony, evaluate patient patterns of use of service, and look at current health care facilities to recommend for City leadership – a plan that will increase access to the full spectrum of care. The Committee will meet on a regular basis with a final set of recommendations due to San Francisco Department of Public Health by mid 2012.
