Obama Care Affirmed!

In King v. Burwell, The Supreme Court ruled today that subsidies to help lower-income Americans buy health insurance will remain available in all fifty states.

If the court had ruled the other way, about 6 million Americans would have lost coverage.  Although California would not have been directly impacted, the case, which rested on a confusing sentence in the law regarding subsidies to states that chose to use the Federal exchange, would have caused considerable damage to the Affordable Care Act.  Instead, the ruling clears the way for the continued implementation and growth of coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
