Recently,  SFCCC provided its first co-located SOS and VET SOS clinic in Bayview, providing a unique opportunity for homeless San Franciscans, their companion animals, and UCSF medical school. Two simultaneous clinics- one providing free human health care by skilled UCSF residents and one delivering free veterinary care by a capable crew of volunteer veterinarians and veterinary technicians- brought over 40 pets and 6 of their homeless owners into care. Many thanks to UCSF Community Partnerships program for supporting this novel approach to service delivery!
