Important Federal Mental Health Grant Awarded to SFCCC

Health and Human Services Secretary (HHS) Sylvia M. Burwell announced today that $54 million in Affordable Care Act funding has been awarded to support health centers in expanding behavioral health services throughout the country, including a grant to SFCCC.

“These awards will further reduce the barriers that too often prevent people from getting the help they need for mental health problems,” said Secretary Burwell. ”Health centers with these awards are on the front lines of better integrating mental health into primary care and improving access to care through the Affordable Care Act.”

SFCCC’s award will be used to expand mental health services to homeless patients at Glide Health Services and Mission Neighborhood Resource Center.
