SFCCC Announces new Interim Medical Director

The San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium is pleased to announce  the appointment of Dr. David Ofman as Interim Medical Director.  Dr. Ofman, a long standing leader in the San Francisco healthcare delivery system, follows Dr. David Lown who left SFCCC to serve as Executive Director the CA Safety Net Institute.  Dr. Ofman is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington.  He holds a Masters Degree in Government from Harvard University and completed The Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Fellowship at UCSF and the California Health Care Foundation Health Care Leadership Program.  He formerly served as the Medical Director of North of Market Senior Services / Curry Senior Center, and the Medical Director of Primary Care for the San Francisco Department of Public Health.  He has previously served as the Interim Medical Director and Consulting Physician for the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium from 2008 - 2009.  He has worked on a number of Safety Net-related projects for the SFGH Foundation, the California Association of Public Hospitals, North and South of Market Adult Day Health Centers, and others.
