HIV Services

SFCCC manages Ryan White C.A.R.E. Act funds for clinics throughout San Francisco. Patients receive comprehensive HIV medical, counseling, and referral services within their culturally appropriate community -- an innovative, cost-effective alternative to expensive hospital care. Through this program, participating clinics have greatly increased their ability to provide a continuum of care for people who are HIV-positive. As a result, community-based HIV care has significantly expanded to communities that are historically under-served and increasingly affected by HIV: people of color, women, injection drug users, the uninsured, and those who are homeless.

C.A.R.E. Act programs are funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
